| Nine oclock on Sunday morning saw waves breaking onto the Firth of Forth shoreline ahead of a stiff cold breeze which was in the face of the mass turnout of road runners for most of the thirteen miles from Cramond to Musselburgh. At the finish they were cheered in by a large admiring crowd of enthusiastic supporters. |
